Feck me!
Yesterday a woman came into my store with a copy of "The Feckin' Book of Irish History" and said it was a gift and she wanted to return it because it was too dirty. She didn't have a receipt and the book didn't have one of our price tags on it, so we explained that we wouldn't be able to take it. After a fair amount of complaining about store policy, she told us we could just keep the book because she didn't want it, and that we just lost a customer (and she assured us she was a very good customer). After she left we looked up the book: we don't carry it, not even on our website. Whoever gave it to her must have ordered it especially for her, and clearly didn't know her very well.
